Video recap for monthly meeting of Local Facilities Manager's Connection (LFMC) from September 2016 hosted by the Eugene Mission. We had the opportunity to meet with the Eugene Mission facilities leadership trio of Jack, Dana and Bill and walk through the kitchen that is current in disaster recovery, the exterior facilities and the temporary kitchen currently serving their needs on campus. The Eugene Mission is a unique entity for facilities management with 12 buildings ranging in age from 1967 to 2013 on 7.5 acres. The LFMC members in attendance enjoyed learning about the operation at the Eugene Mission which serves about 750 meals per day and sleeps about 400 overnight.
Ways you, your family or your work team can help at the Eugene Mission:
1) Follow up for a tour of the facility to learn more about what the EM does in our community
2) Inquire about opportunities to volunteer in the kitchen, administration or many other areas of need
3) EM is always in need of quilts, sleeping bags, jeans and shoes - create a company drive or gather items among family and friends
4) Donate to the mission through their website
