July 20, 2017
942 Olive St, Eugene
Meeting Sponsor: NWEEI
Join us for our July meeting of Local Facilities Manager's Connection (LFMC) which will be hosted at the beautiful downtown offices of RAIN Eugene. RAIN, which stands for the Regional Accelerator and Innovation Network, is an Oregon consortium of government, higher education and the business community. We will have an opportunity for a brief tour of the downtown facility and meet with a RAIN representative to hear about the exciting things happening with business and innovation in our community. Facilities professionals and business leaders will enjoy seeing what is going on behind the scenes to strengthen our market as well as opportunities to get involved.
We are glad to have Northwest Water & Energy Education Institute (NWEEI) as this month's meeting sponsor. Make sure you welcome them and thank them for their support as they will be present to discuss the options they have available for local education and development for facilities professionals including the Building Operator Certification (BOC). Read more about our prior meeting and conversation with Erik Westerholm of NWEEI, including the discussion of how we may be able to work together to create a local class with great benefits to our members. Come prepared to ask your certification related questions and discuss how we can continue to develop ourselves and our teams.
Our topic of discussion for local facilities, maintenance and risk professionals will center around what each member is doing to promote a culture of investing in each other, the community and our organizations. What creative ideas do you have to share about building teamwork, giving back and developing as professionals? What has worked for your team with regards to training and certifications?
8/17/17 @ Downtown Athletic Club - This will be a hosted lunch meeting, please RSVP. 1130am-1pm. Lunch sponsored by the DAC.
