What do you do if you have a need or question but don't necessarily need to call 9-1-1 for an immediate patrol response?
What do you do if you need to discuss crime prevention strategies or specific concerns with Eugene Police Department but you don't know who to contact?
Eugene area residents and businesses have a great resource with the Eugene Police Department Crime Prevention Team (CPT). The CPT team is currently being supervised by Debbie Janecek who has over 30 years of experience with the Eugene Police Department and 15 of those years working directly with the Crime Prevention Team. Individuals interacting with the resources of the CPT will find there are three CP Team members assigned to 6 beats/zones throughout the City of Eugene with whom they can contact to discuss specific needs, ideas and issues in their specific communities. Contacting the EPD Crime Prevention Team will open doors to personable resources and community partnerships to help create a stronger and healthier Eugene.
We are excited to have Debbie Janacek as part of our upcoming conversation for our upcoming Local Facilities Managers Connection (LFMC) Monthly Meeting on Thursday, June 16th at First Baptist Church of Eugene (details HERE). Our group of local facilities, maintenance and risk professionals will be discussing Community Partnerships for Facilities Managers and Resources Available with the Eugene Police Department. Debbie is a life long member of the Eugene community and her experience with Crime Prevention positions her and her team to be a great resource for local facilities managers in developing their prevention plans, response initiatives as well as community partnerships.
Eugne Police Department Crime Prevention Team includes resources for: City Watch, Personal Safety, Protecting Your Business (including) - Trespass Letter Program, Burglary/Robbery Prevention, Shoplifting, Video Evidence Collection and detailed assistance with Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED)
